Hello, fellow Wacky Packages enthusiast! My name is David and if
you’re like me, then you were only a young kid when the original
Wacky Packages craze hit back in 1973, and the Wacky Package
“bug” bit me good, but quite a few of the products being parodied
(particularly the tobacco products) were unfamiliar to me. While I
enjoyed the funny artwork on those Wackies, I didn’t “get” the joke of
the gags and the real products remained a mystery to me. Fast-
forward to now and with the Internet image search, I was finally able
to see the original products being parodied and it made me
appreciate those “mystery” Wacky Packages (and indeed, all of the
Wackies) even more. It was kind of a “a-ha!” moment in my mind to
  finally get the gags.
In 2018 I decided to search the Internet and collect every image of
every product parodied from the 1967-1976 original series Wacky
Packages with plans to place them side by side with their
corresponding Wacky. That was the easy part. The hard part was the
images had to have the correct product design from the 1973 era,
and they had to be as closely matched to the way the Wacky was
designed as possible, while also being the highest quality image too.
As crazy as it may sound, I found this to be an enjoyable challenge to
undertake, doing it while watching TV in my spare time. I have to
admit, a few product images were impossible to find either in good
quality or in the correct design, and I had to piece them together from
several images, but I think they came out quite good. I really didn't
plan on creating a webpage for all this; I just did it for my own
amusement, but I think they came out so good that maybe other
Wacky Package lovers (and I know you're out there!) would enjoy
  seeing these too.
Please note that all the images were found on the Internet in one
form or other, so I don’t claim ownership on any of them. I simply
borrowed them, cleaned them up and enhanced them where
necessary and am returning them to the Internet.
And now without further delay, onto the Wackies ...and the real
  products!
